Let our City, County, and State elected officials know that we want guardrails on
Hyperscale (AI) Data Centers!
Email every member of the City Council to urge them to impose a 12-month moratorium on the approval of hyperscale (AI) data centers.
Large scale data centers typically have far reaching negative impacts on communities. As such, this decision should have extensive study as well as public input and approval.
Contact your County Board member (or all of them) to tell them to support the proposed 12-month moratorium on hyperscale (AI) data centers.
Your district should be listed on your Voter Registration card, or you can look it up here.
Call your State Senator and Representative to urge them to support and become a co-sponsor of the POWER Act.
The Illinois POWER Act (SB4016/HB5513) is a proposed legislative framework designed to regulate the unchecked growth of hyperscale data centers. The act seeks to protect the power grid, safeguard water supplies, and shield everyday consumers from having to pay for the infrastructure that supports these big tech companies.
